Dear Friend in Christ:
I am filled with joy because you have requested membership information.
I trust that you prayerfully consider becoming a member of the Promise Land Missionary Baptist Church, the place of blessings. We are spirit-filled body of believers who believe, live, and teach the entire Bible.
Our ministry id designed to minister to the needs of the total person in every area of life.
There is a major emphasis on family life, relationship management, child rearing, personal development, and spiritual development and growth.
It is often said by many that they have learned more about the Bible in a three-month period than they have learned in a lifetime. That is because of the clear, precise, line upon line, precept upon precept biblical teaching they receive. They can actually see it for themselves in the Word of God. That’s exciting!
I know that this is an important decision, but I believe that you will be lead by the Spirit of God to make the right choice. Our ministry has a commitment to reach the lost and hurting with the love of Jesus through the ministry and other outreach ministries.
“Go ye, therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost…” Matthew 28:19
Through the miracle of television, we can go into the entire world.
“But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased Him.” I Corinthians 12:18
Promise Land Ministries seeks to enhance the growth of its members through various ministries and activities:
I am praying that you make the decision to become a part of our fellowship and vision. I will make a commitment to you to teach you the Word and give you Biblical motivation to become all that God wants you to be. In each of our services, I will make three appeals: first, for salvation; and second, for church membership, third for restoration and fourth the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Simply raise your hand and come forward if you desire to become a member of our church. There is a new member’s decision counselor that will give you further directions on how to become an active part of our fellowship.
Someone from our fellowship will contact you within the next few days. If you do not receive a call, please feel free to come forward in our next service or contact our church office at (502) 776-1589 and someone will assist you with your decision.

Minister Jessie and I, our family, and the staff would like to take this opportunity to welcome you and your family to the Promise Land. We know that you have made one of the most important decisions of your life, and we do not take that for granted.
It is our sincere desire that your life will be enriched tremendously by being a part of this family. We can mutually benefit from our relationship together. As stated during the appeal, it is our commitment to you “to always stand before you, anointed of God, and to provide the necessary staff to meet every spiritual need of you and your family.”
We are growing at an awesome rate. Praise God for Growth! Where there are large numbers of people, there are always people with the same first and last names. The membership Number system will assist us in applying accounts to the proper files. Your Membership Number is _____. This number is for your entire household. Please use the number each time you fill out your offering envelopes.
We are delighted the spirit of God wanted you be a part of this ministry. It is the will of God for believers to be part of a local assembly, local church. Promise Land Missionary Baptist Church is a local church under the direction of the Holy Spirit. I am the under Shepherd (Senior Pastor). Of course, Jesus is the chief Shepherd. The most important thing to know about a church is what the church believes and teaches. Please refer to the Membership Manual that you received for more information about what we believe and teach.
